Cedar shows a small status indicator in the meeting bar so people can tell, at a glance, what Cedar is doing on a call. This page explores three directions for that indicator.
The problem: today it is not obvious whether Cedar is actively listening, thinking, or not in the call, so people are unsure whether their words were captured. We want one clear, on-brand signal for each state.
Each clip below walks one direction (Waveform, Aura, Orbit) through all three states: listening, thinking, and not in call. For Waveform, the thinking state has several versions to choose from (sine, dots, dot wave, shimmer); its clip cycles through all of them so we can pick one.
